Job description

MANCOSA is seeking an experienced BI Engineer to join our IT Data Team. Operating within a cross-functional environment that includes software development, BI development, and analytics, you will act as the bridge between raw data ingestion and analytical insights. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ETL/ELT processes, maintaining robust data pipelines, and implementing data modelling best practices.

The team operates within a Medallion Architecture using Microsoft Fabric as our primary data platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Connect, ingest, and integrate new datasets into the existing Data Warehouse/Lakehouse environment.
  • Design and implement robust data models (Star Schema/Kimball) to ensure optimal performance for downstream BI tools.
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure the Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) integrity and data quality are maintained.
  • Own the development and optimization of views, stored procedures, and semantic layers for visualization products.
  • Ensure the continuous, efficient, and secure operation of data pipelines.
  • Conduct rigorous data validation and performance tuning.

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s or equivalent qualification in a technical field.
  • 5 Years of experience in a software or data engineering environment.
  • Proficient in SQL and Python (specifically for data manipulation).
  • Solid understanding of Data Warehousing
  • Experience with version control using Git.
  • Experience working with big data and cloud data architectures.
