Job description

CORE FUNCTIONS INCLUDE

·        Schedule, coordinate and host relevant Programme Advisory Committee (PAC), Programme Design, Development and Review (PDDR) Committee and other Curriculum Development and Management Meetings

·        work closely with the Team Leader and administrators during the coordination of curriculum review and update processes to ensure alignment with department standard operating procedures and the achievement of deliverables

·        Coordinate the inclusion of the Teaching, Assessment, Learning and Curriculum Framework and Work Integrated Learning and Work Readiness Framework principles into curriculum review and update projects

·        Coordinate the inclusion of curriculum transformation principles within curriculum, with a focus on inclusivity, decolonisation, diversity, accessibility, and student-centred learning

·        Coordinate the inclusion of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into curriculum where relevant, encouraging critical engagement with sustainability and social justice issues

·        Conduct sourcing and contracting of appropriate stakeholders

·        Plan, coordinate and host sessions with stakeholders with regards to the curriculum review and update processes

·        Provide professional academic feedback to stakeholders during the curriculum review and update processes ensuring alignment to MANCOSA’s and regulatory body requirements

·        Compile reports and trackers to accurately reflect current projects

·        Collect and analyse relevant data during the curriculum review and update process

·        Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of curriculum review activities, ensuring compliance with institutional policies and accreditation standards

·        Proactively ensure that all curriculum review and update processes and timelines are achieved

·        Monitor and evaluate the progress of improvement initiatives and ensure the relevant trackers are updated

·        Accurately compile and quality assure Curriculum Structures, Programme Information Sheets, Programme Information Sheet Supplements, Prescribed and Additional Readings Lists for Existing Programmes and Modules while maintaining quality and consistency as per the Department’s requirements and standards

·        Contribute to the achievement of student success via engaging and solving curriculum related student queries and ensuring Module Guides are of a high-quality standard per intake

·        Coordinate formatting and layout editing on Module Guides as per the formatting requirements

·        Complete digitising of Module Guides as per requirements to maintain quality and consistency on the Curriculum Development and Management System

·        Facilitate system enhances on the CDMS to ensure efficiency of processes

·        Prepare for and ensure attendance at any site visits relating to the academic programmes

·        Review regulatory requirements regularly/ as and when updated by the regulator, to ensure curriculum review and update processes align with accreditation requirements and standards

·        Provide support for accreditation visits, including preparation of documentation and coordination of site visits

·        Independently study to ensure ongoing professional development to upgrade knowledge in field of expertise

Minimum requirements

Qualifications

·        Essential Qualification: Postgraduate

·        Preferred Qualification: Master’s

 

EXPERIENCE

·        Essential experience: At least 3 year’s higher education work experience, and understanding of curriculum and regulatory compliance

·        Preferred experience: At least 3 to 5 year’s higher education work experience, and understanding of curriculum and regulatory compliance
