Introduction

CORE PURPOSE To oversee market entry of MANCOSA’s School of Healthcare and to adopt measures and initiatives aimed at expanding the school’s footprint and impact. The main purpose of the job will be to manage the commercial aspect of the school, in so far as, marketing, positioning, advocacy and sectoral engagement, may be concerned. The manager will lead efforts to ensure the appropriate recognition of MANCOSA’s healthcare programmes with the relevant professional bodies. The Manager: School of Healthcare will manage the school’s administrator, where after, there may be additional staff members that will report to the manager.

CORE FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:

• School positioning and footprint

• School marketing

• School visibility with market

• School advocacy

• Commercial

• Manage the sales of short learning programmes

• Achieve budgeted enrolment targets for healthcare programmes

• Oversee the execution and contribute to marketing activities of the school

• Professional body engagement

• Ensure that MANCOSA healthcare programmes receive appropriate recognition from relevant professional bodies

• Office and Staff Management

• Performance management of subordinates

• Management of the SOH office

• Contribute to Academic Project

• Develop mechanisms to feedback industry requirements of healthcare programmes into the academic project

• Reporting

• Provide weekly, monthly and ad hoc reports to Director and other key stakeholders

Minimum requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential qualification Honours Degree

Preferred qualification Masters Degree

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• 3 years in healthcare sales, healthcare education, and/or, healthcare management

• Knowledge of the healthcare system in SA

• Professional body recognition of qualifications

• Knowledge of healthcare related programme offerings in SA

• Autonomous worker and self-starter

• Ability to engage with individuals from all levels of an organisation

• Strong network in healthcare, healthcare education and/or education

• Healthtech developments

• Online short course development and offerings
