CORE PURPOSE
The core purpose of the job is to provide efficient service to students within the departmental service level agreements and according to institutional rules to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction is achieved.
CORE FUNCTIONS:
The Returning Student Consultant will be responsible for the following core tasks:
- Reviewing and analysing the AVC (At-Risk / Returning Student) list to identify eligible returning students
- Proactively contacting eligible students to encourage continuation and completion of their qualifications
- Guiding returning students through the registration and re-enrolment process
- Liaising closely with the Finance Department to confirm student fee status and financial clearance
- Accurately capturing and updating student information on institutional systems
- Using institutional platforms such as LMS, CRM, and SIS to track engagements and progress
- Meeting pre-determined targets, timelines, and registration deadlines
- Providing clear, professional advice to students regarding programme continuation options
- Supporting the institution’s objective of boosting student numbers through effective follow-ups and conversions
- Maintaining accurate records and reports on student contact and registration outcomes
Minimum requirements

Qualifications
- Minimum Diploma or Degree in:
- Sales
- Marketing
- Business Administration
- Education or a related field
Experience
- Senior-level experience in Sales and/or Marketing, preferably within an education or service-driven environment
- Demonstrated experience working with student or customer databases
- Proven ability to work effectively within fixed-term contracts and performance-driven roles
Skills & Competencies
- Strong working knowledge of LMS, CRM, and SIS systems
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Excellent communication and persuasion skills
- Ability to work within strict time frames and deadlines
- Strong organisational and follow-up skills
- Results-driven mindset with the ability to manage high volumes of student engagement
- Professional telephone and written communication skills
