MANCOSA, a DHET- registered and CHE- accredited private higher education and distance education provider, offering undergraduate and postgraduate business qualifications, has the following vacancy available: ACADEMIC ASSESSMENT COORDINATOR - DURBAN CORE PURPOSE To implement assessment processes and activities and ensure that the quality, integrity and authenticity of assessments are maintained at all times across the institution and platforms: distance and LMS-supported delivery.
Job description

CORE FUNCTIONS
  • Responsible for the administration of assessments (formative and summative) for an assigned group of programmes; certificates; diplomas, bachelor degrees and postgraduate programmes across platforms in line with assessment policies and procedures.
  • Appoint and allocate assessments to approved examiners/moderators for groups of programmes as assigned; track and notify academics of assessment/moderation bundles and follow up on assigned assessments according to set timelines.
  • Review and sign off assessments before uploading them on the LMS.
  • Processing of payments for examiners and moderators.

Minimum requirements

QUALIFICATION (S)
  • Relevant Postgraduate degree
  • 3 years experience in a similar/related field
 
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
  • Knowledge and experience in assessment development coordination at a tertiary level
  • Experience working with processes and procedures
  • Knowledge of MIS and LMS
  • Meaningful communication, problem-solving, analytical and critical thinking, and self-management skills
 
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Be able to work during weekends and after hours if required.
