Job description
Audit Planning & Execution of Field work:
§ Assist in identifying, assess and document significant institutional risks.
§ Arrange meetings with business owners for audit preparation and document the minutes of the meeting.
§ Prepare an electronic working document file for effective audit working standards.
§ Assist in setting the scope and objectives of the audit assignment to ensure the key areas are adequately addressed.
§ Assist in documenting a business function description to gain a background understanding of the business functions included in the scope of the audit.
§ Assist in conducting audits in line with audit methodologies.
§ Assist in identifying and/or updating risks specific to the processes and the controls implemented to mitigate the said risks.
§ Conduct feedback meetings throughout the audit.
Risk Management:
§ Assist in the development and implementation of institutional risk management plan and facilitate cascading of
§ the plan to the departments
§ Reviewing the effectiveness of the implemented mechanism/internal controls to reduce risks and advise relevant process owner/s of findings
§ Monitor implementation of the risk mitigation plan stemming from risk assessments conducted
§ Assist in the roll out of the institutional Risk Assessment awareness campaign.
§ Communicate and share best practices or interdependencies with the relevant stakeholders to increase awareness and mitigate the risks.
§ Ensuring that the risk register is regularly reviewed and updated to reflect changes in the organisation's risk profile.
General Duties:
§ Generate departmental reports at specific annual intervals.
§ Organise and conduct meetings and presentations, develop appropriate templates for meeting documents, collate information and generate meeting packs and record minutes of the meetings.
§ Office administration
§ Filing of reports with the appropriate annexures.
§ Develop forms and templates for utilisation within the institution.
§ Partaking on special projects and committee work.
§ When required, contribute to preparations for regulatory procedures including institutional audits, site visits, responding to conditions.
Minimum requirements
Newly graduate or at least one year working experience in an internal audit and risk management environment.
