Candidates should also have knowledge of the fundamentals of local governance, disaster management, and ethics and professionalism in public administration. The role involves moderating and guiding learning to ensure practical understanding, compliance with governance standards, and the development of competent local government professionals.
Job description

CORE PURPOSE:

The Module Guide Writer develops content aligned to the module outcomes and associated assessment criteria as per the requirements provided by MANCOSA.

The Module Guide Moderator ensures content is aligned to the module outcomes and associated assessment criteria as per the requirements provided by MANCOSA.

 

CORE FUNCTIONS:

·        The Module Guide Updater ensures content aligned to the module outcomes and associated assessment criteria as per the requirements provided by MANCOSA by updating the existing content to align to current industry standards.

·        The Module Guide Moderator ensures content is aligned to the module outcomes and associated assessment criteria as per the requirements provided by MANCOSA. 

Minimum requirements

QUALIFICATION(S):

  •         A relevant PHD NQF Level 10 q
  • ualification (with extensive academic experience) or 

·        A relevant Masters NQF Level 09 qualification (with extensive academic experience) or

  •         A relevant Honours or Postgraduate qualification (with extensive academic experience)

 

EXPERIENCE:

  •         2-5 years Academic experience
  •         Module Guide Updating or Moderation experience

 

RELATED KNOWLEDGE, COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

·        Knowledge of the South African Higher Education Regulatory Framework

·        Ability to work within pre-determined time frames and meet deadlines

·        Excellent academic writing and communication skills

·        Ability to demonstrate professionalism in academic writing

·        Proficient in the use of technological systems

·        Possess a high level of ethics

·        Knowledge of Blooms Taxonomy verbs and SAQA Level descriptors
