Desktop Publishing Administrator CORE PURPOSE To provide support and assistance to the Curriculum Development and Management Department by assisting with the various processes and administration with regards to the New and Existing Programmes and Modules within the department to ensure that MANCOSA meets its strategic objectives and goals.
Job description

CORE FUNCTIONS INCLUDE MANAGING THE FOLLOWING:
 
Formatting of all Module Guides, Programme Information Sheets and Curriculum Structures
·      Perform all formatting and layout editing on all Module Guides
·      Maintaining presentation quality and consistency of all Module Guides
·      Re-construct poor and unclear diagrams within Module Guides
·      Check and sign-off on Module Guides and study material sent to the printers
·      Format Programme Information Sheets as per the template
·      Format Curriculum Structures as per the template
·      Development of forms, templates, and guides
·      Adhering to production deadlines
·      Provide information with regard to module guide covers, spines to be communicated to graphic designer
 
Multimedia Project
·      Play a key role in the digitisation of Module Guides
·      Digitize new and old module guides, perform quality checks, sign - off and publish Multimedia Guides
·      Liaise with service provider regarding system developments for the Curriculum Development and Management System
 
Meetings
·      Maintain meeting schedules, book meeting venues and inform the relevant stakeholders regarding attendance
·      Attend and execute minute taking
 
Professional Development
·      Engage in ongoing professional development by independently studying to upgrade knowledge field of expertise
·      Actively participate in staff development initiatives offered by the institution
·      Conduct and attend staff development and training sessions
 
MANCOSA Student Success
·      Employ effective project and time management strategies to ensure that students receive module guides in time
 
Regulatory Bodies
·  Prepare for and ensure attendance at any site visits relating to the academic programmes
·  Actively participate in CHE Audit and site visits together with the other members of Management
·  Participate in any regulatory body activity
·  Ensure Compliance to regulatory standards
 
General
·      Adhere to and loyally perform reasonable instructions, functions and tasks
·      Assist and attend institution functions as and when required

Minimum requirements

Qualifications and Experience
·      Minimum Degree in Information Technology/ / Graphic Design/Web Development or related qualification
·      Minimum 1-year experience
·      Experience with engaging with the following software: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Muse, Animate/Flash, Dreamweaver)
·      Experience in working on Learning Management Systems
·      Deadline driven and process orientated
