- To assist in the design, development, and implementation of engaging and effective learning solutions, contributing to the creation of high-quality instructional materials that meet the needs of learners and support organisational goals.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and academic faculty to design and develop high-quality learning content that aligns with the learning outcomes and curriculum goals of higher education courses.
Instructional Design
- Apply sound instructional design methodologies to create engaging and interactive content, incorporating a variety of multimedia elements, assessments, and activities to cater to diverse learning styles.
- Design learner-centered experiences that foster student engagement, critical thinking, and active learning using technology and interactive pedagogies.
- Through the integration of modern assessment technologies that allow for testing of learner knowledge while engaging with the content. (e.g. interactive quizzes, gamified assessments)
- Conduct thorough reviews and testing of educational materials to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with learning objectives and adhering to the requirements from regulatory bodies
- Focuses on the effective collection, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of data from the Learning Management System to support decision-making, improve learning outcomes, and optimize system usage.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in instructional design, higher education, and LMS integration to continuously improve the quality of content and learning experiences.
Minimum requirements
- A bachelor's or equivalent qualification, educational technology, curriculum development, or a related field. Relevant certifications in instructional design or e-learning will be a plus.
- At least [3] years of experience in instructional design, with a proven track record of developing higher education content. Experience with LMS, particularly Moodle, is highly preferred.
LMS Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in Moodle or other learning management systems, including content creation, course setup, and user management
Pedagogical Knowledge: Strong understanding of adult learning principles, active learning strategies, and assessment methods in higher education contexts.
Technology Skills: Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools, multimedia editing software, and other educational technologies to create interactive and engaging content.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including faculty, SMEs, and support teams.
Creativity: Demonstrated creativity in designing innovative and interactive learning experiences that motivate and inspire learners.
Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail and commitment to delivering error-free, high-quality educational materials.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address instructional design challenges effectively.
General:
- Must be capable of working with visual and auditory input
- Willingness to work overtime when required
