Introduction
MANCOSA, a DHET registered and CHE accredited private higher education distance education provider, offering undergraduate and postgraduate business qualifications, has the following vacancy available: CURRICULUM COORDINATOR: EXISTING PROGRAMMES – DURBAN CORE PURPOSE To coordinate the various process of reviewing, updating and rewriting of existing programmes and modules between the various stakeholders to ensure that this is aligned to MANCOSA’s vision and mission.
Job description

CORE FUNCTIONS

  • Align Programme and Curriculum Review to digital transformation.
  • Coordinate module and programme reviews for Existing Programmes in line with the Institution’s vision and mission
  • Compilation of Programme Information Sheets, Curriculum Structures, and Programme Change Matrix
  • Recruitment of writers, updaters, and moderators for module guide updates and rewrites
  • Liaise with the Librarian to source prescribed textbooks for updating or rewriting of module guides
  • Coordinate and manage module guide updates and rewrites process via the Curriculum Development Management System (CDMS)
  • Execute digital module guide desktop publishing functions
  • Coordinate the printing of module guides
  • Coordinates the design of module guide covers, spines and other information required from the provider
  • Convene and Chair meetings for Curriculum Development and Management Department Meetings, Programme Design, Development and Review Committee Meetings, Programme Advisory Committee Meetings and any other meetings which may occur
  • Prepare and submit Existing Programmes payments·
  • Keep records, compile tracking reports and timeously filing
  • Conduct and participate in staff development and training sessions
  • Assist with overseeing staff members
  • Contribute to the achievement of student success
  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance is met

QUALIFICATIONS

Honours Degree

EXPERIENCE

  • At least 1-2 year’s work experience within an academic environment
  • Have a good understanding of the Higher Education landscape
  • Understanding of curriculum and regulatory compliance (e.g. SAQA, DHET and CHE)

RELATED KNOWLEDGE, COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS

  • Computer Literate
  • Confident with computer navigation and problem solving
  • Excellent in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Power Point, Access, Internet and Email
